Studio Recording:

   Your wonderful experience recording here will begin with the basic tracks. We will  record the drums, guitar and bass or any combination that is comfortable. The drummer, guitarist(s) and bassist will be in the same room, although the amp's will be in another room for separation. We will keep the  tracks you are happy with, then record all other parts individually for separation. Vocals will usually be last on the agenda. Mixing and editing will begin after everyone is finished and satisfied with the performance. The most important things are knowing your songs as well as possible and new strings and drum heads, if you can afford to replace these items. One tip that makes a world of difference is recording to a metronome, so practicing to a "click" before recording to one is essential. The best sounding recordings start at the source!   Pricing for weekend time isn't hourly here at Z.P. and the recording/overdub process, mixing and mastering are all included in the per song price. This method equals less pressure and better performance. Not having to worry too much about time let's you remain creative and focused. This is a reward for those who know their songs well and are ready to put out a stellar CD. I typically allow two days or more for up to eight songs and three to four days for up to 16 songs, all 10 hour days (Plenty of time to play through your songs dozens of times). In the event that  you need more time, a $30/hour charge will be applied.

Full Weekend: $90/Song, for recording four or more songs. Saturday & Sunday hours are 9 am-7 pm.

Monday-Friday: $30/hour, Weekday hours are 9 am-7 pm.

Mixing & Mastering (for projects not recorded here):

If you recorded yourself or at another studio and you need a professional mix you've come to the right place! I will mix, edit and master your project for $60/song to your specifications. Of course there will be certain guidelines for the format of the files and they must be labeled properly. Contact me and we will set something up. You do not have to be local for J. Zaring to mix and master your project. This service is available globally.

~Intonation, neck, detailing polish & fretboard conditioning: $65

Photo-Slide and 35mm Negatives to DVD:

 Save your photo's on DVD and see those old slides once again. We can do photo's of all kinds and sizes, slides, negatives  to DVD or CD-ROM. Slides, film and scanned photo's are $0.25 each with a 20 photo minimum.
